Sally Kellerman

In Robert Altman’s classic “MASH” she was “Hot Lips” Houlihan, the buttoned-up, regular-Army officer whose starched, by-the-book approach to everything drove the people around her crazy.

That’s acting.

Because in real life, Sally Kellerman is impulsive to the core, with a resume that ranges from jazz albums and the trippy “Brewster McCloud” to the raucous “Back to School” and Hidden Valley Ranch commercials.

Sally did a lot of early TV, but the episode she will likely be remembered for is “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” which was the second pilot for “Star Trek.” A few other of Sallys’ TV career appearances include The Young and the Restless, Centennial, Unsupervised, The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, Backstory and so much more.
